Pretty with a Purpose Scholarship

Kiara Hall is the 2024 recipient for the $1000 Pretty with a Purpose scholarship. This scholarship will be used towards furthering her education at Virginia Commonwealth University. Kiara plans to study nursing and specialize in Neonatal and/or Labor & Delivery. 

"Pretty with a purpose means becoming 1% better everyday and working towards those little goals to become the best version of oneself. Everyone has their own purpose in life. Everyone is valued in some shape, way, or form."

Autumn Billups is the 2023 recipient for the $1000 Pretty with a Purpose scholarship. This scholarship will be used towards furthering her education at Winston Salem State University in North Carolina. Autumn plans to study nursing and specialize in Neonatal. 

"Pretty with a purpose means that you treat others as you want to be treated. It includes your willingness to pick someone up, as opposed to knocking them down. It also consists of having confidence. It’s having the courage to be determined to reach your goals and accomplishing them. These traits are the epitome of someone who is being pretty with a purpose."

Alani Crittenden is the 2023 recipient of the $500 Pretty with a Purpose Book Scholarship. This scholarship will be used towards furthering her education at Morgan State University in Maryland. Alani plans to study Nursing.

"Being pretty may just sound like being attractive, but to me it means you are you. You are a leader, you are strong, you are brave, you are important. Treating yourself like you matter."
